IMG / Entropy Racing Winter Party @ Entropy Racing World HQ
Feb 1 @ 5:00 pm – Feb 2 @ 3:00 am

This is our 14th Annual feast of foolishness where the only requirement is that you join a nice group of people with food in hand and a warm smile. For those of you who have never attended, this Pot Luck party has become quite the culinary competition with people bringing their best and sharing it with all.

The festivities begin at noon and will run to about 7 PM. At 4 PM, we will be presenting driver awards and worker awards for the 2013 season. While most of the Friends Of Entropy and IMG are car and race oriented people, the party is quite spouse and kid friendly. Don’t be afraid that all we will talk about is cars and race tracks.

We have a full bar of both high end and low-life liquor and beer (interesting contributions are welcome), a full kitchen with 2 ovens, a 10 burner commercial range, 2 microwaves and the only thing we are lacking is a proper broiler. If the meal you choose requires final assembly or prep feel free to bring what you need to compete your creation.

We have plenty of seating, and video games for kids (and others). The only thing you need to bring is your food and yourselves. We have plenty of serving utensils and trays, plates and the like, but if you need to keep something warm bring a crock pot to do so.

What we ask is that you RSVP ASAP  with who will be coming and what you will be bringing, so that we can keep a list of what is being brought. We don’t need 6 people bringing the Yaunches family specialty – Clam Ripple Ice Cream. It is better than it sounds.. but not by much. Lastly, If you know someone who would like to attend for any reason (besides getting totally drunk and trashing the joint) feel free to forward the invite.

Chasing The Dragon Hillclimb @ Maple Springs Hillclimb - Graham Co. Robbinsville, NC | Robbinsville | North Carolina | United States

Entropy Racing is expecting to debut the EVSR two months ahead of schedule at the Tail of the Dragon Hillclimb (a 2 mile timed event) in Robbinsville, North Carolina on March 22 & 23. EVSR will be the first electric racing car to compete at this event. While we will be competing as an exhibition and shakedown, we fully intend to have a strong showing. EVSR can run full power with no range issues, thereby allowing for full potential of the driveline to be explored, while Entropy Racing begins to fine tune the suspension and become familiar with the finer points of driving an EVSR. Todd Ried and Charles Turano will both drive the car at this historic event.

The Dragon Hillclimb is a Sports Car Club of America Time Trial event – competition licensed drivers in prepared sports cars race one at a time up a 2 mile mountain road in class competition. The course is located near The Tail of the Dragon in beautiful Robbinsville, NC – Graham County. EVSR will compete in the hill climb as part of testing in preparation for the upcoming season.

Climb To The Clouds: Mt. Washington Hill Climb @ Mt. Washington Auto Road
Jun 26 – Jun 29 all-day

MWARlogoHrgbNow billed as one of the oldest motorsports events in the United States, the Climb to the Clouds was first run in 1904, seven years before the first 500-mile race at the Brickyard in Indianapolis and 12 years prior to the inaugural Pikes Peak Hillclimb in Colorado.  Run sporadically throughout the years, many famous racecar drivers and automobile manufacturers have competed in the event through its’ colorful history.

Following the return of the Mt. Washington Hillclimb in 1990 after a 29-year hiatus, the event was run annually as part of the Mt. Washington Auto Road’s summer event schedule until 2001.  During that time, several new records were shared between 8-time Sports Car Club of America National Rally Champion Paul Choiniere from Shelburne, Vermont and multi-time Canadian Rally Champion Frank Sprongl from Mississauga, Ontario.  Sprongl’s 1998 record time of 6 minutes, 41.99 seconds driving his Audi Quattro S2 was to remain unbeaten for the next 13 years.

In 2011 Vermont SportsCar brought back this legendary race in grand style as part of the Auto Road’s 150th anniversary celebration.  The 2011 edition of the Climb to the Clouds was seen by many as one of the crowning celebratory events of the summers Sesquicentennial.  David Higgins, driving a Vermont SportsCar prepped Subaru WRX STI shattered the old record with a stunning run to the summit taking just 6 minutes, 11.54 seconds – all the more impressive given that the last 1/2 mile of the track was obscured with varying degrees of fog.

In 2014, EVSR will make history as the first ever pure electric powered vehicle to make the run.
