The EVSR Team: Charlie Greenhaus

profile-charliegreenhausProject Manager and Chief Engineer:

Charlie Greenhaus has been the driving force behind Entropy Racing for 25 years and in that time has taken on many motorsports challenges, both as a club racing driver, and as a service provider for the racing community.

Charlie’s career began as a method to support his racing passion which evolved into creating Entropy Racing. Entropy has been a driving force in club racing in the northeast for decades. As a driver, Charlie has driven on historic tracks such as Bridgehampton, Lime Rock Park and Watkins Glen, to name a few. He has held lap records and won numerous club racing championships. While driving will always remain a strong interest, Charlie found that the greatest reward in racing was to help other people race and give them an opportunity to experience the sport with the help of a dedicated professional.

Charlie brings this passion and attention to detail to the EVSR project. As the driving force behind the car and program, Charlie aims to build EVSR from a two car project into a leading electric racing series that can open road racing to new audiences, drivers and teams.

Leading Entropy Racing in the shop and in the paddock, Charlie has organized and fielded cars in the 24 hours of Nelson Ledges, the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona and the 25 hours of Thunderhill in California. In addition to these races, Entropy continues to field numerous teams at endurance races ranging from 2 hours to 12 hours and has a finishing record that rivals the best in the business.

While Entropy Racing services car for many racers, its bread and butter is its rental program with 14 equally prepared Sports Racers in which Entropy Racing typically fields over 100 rentals a year. In addition to Service and Rentals, Entropy Racing has been providing event management and support services to tracks and hosting racing organizations for years. Charlie has been chief instructor for more than ½ dozen different racing and high performance driving organizations.

All of these varied motorsports experiences and skills within all the staff at Entropy Racing combined bring racing to many that could not experience it without the support of Entropy Racing.
